The first earthquake struck on April 25th just west of Kathmandu with a magnitude of 7.8. Then the second earthquake shook Nepal again on May 12th just east of Kathmandu with a magnitude of 7.3.
Having clubs on the ground in Nepal, Rotary’s directed efforts worldwide began immediately. Helping the 5.6 million people affected by these earthquakes with food, shelter, medicine, disease prevention, and reconstruction.
To lend a hand, our Rotary Club of North Sydney is holding a Peking Duck Chinese New Year Lunch in Chatswood on February 21st to raise money and help rebuild Nepal.
